Last week we discussed the challenges of keeping business partnerships afloat. But there is another partnership that needs attention in the small-medium business world, the employer-employee partnership. We call this a partnership because each person has a decision to make about working together. Each player has expectations, needs, and requirements that must be negotiated and delivered.
Unlike a formal business partnership though, at any time and with very little notice, the employee or employer can choose to end this relationship (at least in a Right-to-Work state like Texas). As we consult/train/coach our clients to perform on the Xtra Mile, we spend more time on the topic of line-ups, performance, and talent development than any other. Additionally, in a fast-moving economy the #1 challenge every business is facing is finding great people to keep up with growth and expansion.
Do you have the right people in your line-up? We have a great tool, the Critical Personnel Inventory, that we would love to share. In two weeks, we will be hosting a 2-hour Rockstars or Deadweight boot camp at our office in Grapevine, TX that covers the same topic. We guarantee that this process will help remove the fog, stress, and fear around getting your line-up right. Plus, we will give you clear action plans for leading your team to the Xtra Mile.
Don’t just take our word for it.
“The workshop re-energized me to invest in my team. I am already making plans to implement some of the strategies that Ross introduced us to. I am excited to see how it impacts my leadership as well as how we work together to move our branch forward.” – Gayla Collins, First Financial Bank, Grapevine, TX
