Redeem

I just re-read our blog from last week. As a 52-year-old Dad, recently promoted to Granddad, my bad dad joke game is strong. Just ask my children, employees, or bride for an eye-rolling confirmation. I hope this final blog of our October fog-cutting series REDEEMS me.

Redeem = Compensate for the faults or bad aspects of (something). Oxford Language Dictionary

How do we REDEEM 2020?

  1. Hold on tightly to your WHY.
  2. Hold on loosely to your PLANS.
  3. Build strength in forgiveness, gratitude, mercy, and grace.
  4. Keep a good notebook.

Wisdom is a demanding teacher, the toughest lessons in life are the most valuable. Are we learning? Are we growing? Are we evolving through our trials? The fog will leave and someday be back, but we can all be better when we apply 1-4.

We are a week away from knowing who will fill the role of POTUS for the next 4 years. If your guy DOES NOT win, follow 1-4. Four years is shorter than you think. If your guy DOES win, follow 1-4. If anything comes from our time in the fog of 2020, let’s be better neighbors.

‘One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.’

An excellent WHY for us all to hold on to.
